Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

Make Me AI Smartis a free, open educational website. You can read every lesson without an account, and we've built the site to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect when you do choose to sign in, why we collect it, who else is involved, and how you can have your data deleted.

The short version

  • You can read all of our content without signing in or being tracked as an individual.
  • Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture.
  • We use cookieless analytics that counts visits without identifying you or following you around the web.
  • We don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing support@makemeaismart.com.

What we collect

If you sign in

Signing in is optional and only used to personalize your experience (such as remembering your place). We currently offer sign-in with Google. When you sign in, Google shares a basic profile with us:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your profile picture

We store this in our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in and to show your name and picture in the app. Your login session is also kept in your browser's local storage so you don't have to sign in on every visit.

If you just read

You don't need to sign in to read anything, and we don't ask you to. For visitors who never sign in, we only ever see the anonymous, aggregate analytics described below.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which lessons are popular, so we can improve the site. This analytics is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not store your IP address, does not create a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites. It only produces aggregate counts — things like total page views, referring sites, rough country, and device or browser type. Because it collects no personally identifying information, no cookie consent banner is required.

Why we collect it

  • To run optional accounts — so you can sign in and we can personalize your experience. The legal basis is your consent, given when you choose to sign in.
  • To improve the site— aggregate analytics helps us see what's useful. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving a free service, using data that doesn't identify you.

Who else is involved

We keep the site simple, so only a few trusted providers process data on our behalf. We don't sell your data to anyone.

  • Google — when you choose to sign in with Google, so Google can confirm who you are and share your basic profile.
  • Supabase — our authentication provider; stores your account (name, email, picture) and keeps you signed in.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
  • Resend — sends account-related emails (such as password-reset messages) on our behalf.
  • Cloudflare — manages our domain and routes email sent to our support address.

These providers may process data on servers outside your country. Where that happens, it's done under their standard data-protection safeguards.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in, we keep your login session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in — this is strictly necessary for the sign-in feature you chose to use. Our analytics is cookieless. As a result, the site doesn't show a cookie-consent banner.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove it as described below. Aggregate analytics data isn't tied to you and is retained only in anonymous, summarized form.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. We're happy to honor these requests regardless of where you live.

How to delete your account

To delete your account and the personal data associated with it, email us at support@makemeaismart.com from the email address associated with your account(this is how we confirm the request is really from you). Please include a short note asking us to delete your account. We'll delete your account and associated data — and confirm by reply — within 30 days. Because we currently store only your sign-in profile, deleting your account removes essentially everything we hold about you.

For any other privacy request or question, reach us at the same address.

Children

Make Me AI Smartis intended for a general audience and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes to how we handle your data will be highlighted here.
